We are pleased to announce the appointment of Denise Gomez Oluwo to the Board of Directors of the John S. Mulholland Family Foundation. Denise Gomez Oluwo is the Senior Vice President and GSE Chief Underwriter at Merchants Capital Corp., a national leader in multifamily housing finance and consistently ranked as one of the top lenders by Affordable Housing Magazine. Her career in agency credit spans close to twenty years.
Denise holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration from The George Washington University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Mathematics from Smith College.
A native of Queens, New York, Gomez Oluwo and her husband reside in suburban Washington, where they are proud parents of two sons. Denise serves as Vice President of the Parent Teachers Association at her sons’ elementary school and Treasurer of their Cub Scout troop. She is a certified yoga instructor.
Denise is no stranger to JSM; this past year, she organized a food drive at her firm and recruited a second one at the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland, has attended several Galas and demonstrated a keen interest in our mission of serving the food insecure, working poor of the District. She enters with a 2025 commitment as Emerald Sponsor.
