A Capital Evening XII, the sole annual fundraising event to benefit the John S. Mulholland Family Foundation will be held on Friday, November 21, 2025 at The Ritz-Carlton in Washington’s West End. Cocktails and Silent Auction begin at 6PM with a three course dinner with selected wines following at 7:30PM.

Robin and Rick Gordon’s RKO Orchestra will return by popular demand and auction items will include stays at exciting Hilton and Ritz-Carlton destinations. Caruso Florist will once again beautify the tables. Special rates have been secured for overnight stays in the hotel and valet parking for the event — exclusively for Gala guests.

“We are delighted to return to the Ritz-Carlton for a third consecutive year,” said Brian M. Mulholland, JSM Chairman, “and are confident that Special Events Director Bonnie Jung and Executive Chef Gavin Pera will produce another stellar event for the Foundation.”

Internationally acclaimed Chef-Restaurateur and JSM Director Christianne Ricchi of Ristorante i Ricchi will serve as 2025 Gala Chair and welcomes committee members. Chris is committed to ensuring that A Capital Evening remains “Washington’s best Gala.”

John S. Mulholland Family Foundation was founded in 2013 to celebrate the life and honor the memory of a World War II Navy hero and storied FBI Senior Special Agent, by serving the food insecure, working poor of the District of Columbia. JSM now serves 1,000 families monthly at nine strategically located food pantries throughout the city. An all-volunteer cadre of like-minded people operate the Foundation judiciously, ensuring that 97¢ of every dollar donated goes to the purchase of food. We pride ourselves that each person who visits a JSM Food Pantry is treated with dignity and respect, as one of God’s children.
